JD Rockefeller saw that the money from oil was not to be made in drilling, but refining. He manufactured kerosene, the soaring demand for it convinced him it would make him rich. He also mastered new products to sell. By age 25 his refinery was one of the biggest in the world.
In 1870, Rockefeller formed Standard Oil, he wanted to monopolise the oil industry. Rockefeller knew that the refinery with the lowest financial cost would destroy his rivals. He entered into a secret alliance arrangement with the railroads called the South Improvement Company. In exchange for regular transport, Rockefeller received rates far lower than his competitors. Rockefeller soon sent his competitors broke leaving them no option, but to sell out to Standard Oil. It was a conspiracy.
Rockefeller’s brother William described the operation as war or peace. If a competitor didn’t sell him their business then Rockefeller would create a shortage of railway tanks or buy up all the oil barrels on the market so the competitor had no place to store or ship his oil. He would even buy up all the necessary chemicals needed to refine oil. Rockefeller creates a code for his management to speak e.g. Standard Oil was referred to as ‘The Club’. Competitors had no idea that the reason their competitors were able to sell so cheaply was because they had been acquired by Standard Oil. In just two months he took over 22 of the 26 Cleveland oil refineries.
By 1879 Rockefeller controlled 90 percent of the world’s oil refineries, within few years he controlled 90 percent of the marketing in the world, in a commodity that was about to become the world’s most important commodity. Rockefeller became a ruthless business man.
Teddy Roosevelt broke up the Standard Oil trust, however splitting up Standard Oil only helped expand the Standard Oil Empire. The Rockefellers joined together with the Morgans (Rothschild) to expand their empires. So they expanded into the west by buying into the railroads which involved the Harriman’s and the Vanderbilt’s all financed by the Morgan bank (Rothschild).
The Rockefellers then moved into banking. This gave them a monopoly on two industries and in return, it gave them great political power.
The Rockefellers entered banking via National City Bank, William Rockefeller - Director (Brother of JD) and his son Percy – Director and brother Willian Goodsell Rockefeller, whose son James S Rockefeller would one day be President and Chairman. The Bank best known as the Rockefellers is Chase National Bank, Owned by JD and built up by his son JD Jnr. Eventually, Chase would merge with Paul Warburg's bank to become Chase Manhattan. After which JD’s Grandson, David Rockefeller would become President and Chairman. Oddly these two banks would become seen as rivals although they were run by the same family.
By 1956, the Rockefeller brothers had spread their influence worldwide. Largely due to their financial interest in the 1913 Federal Reserve Act. Which had allowed them to create such organisations as the Council on Foreign Relations and the United Nations. Through their financial and philanthropic enterprises, they were extremely influential in global politics.
They control Honeywell, New York life Equable and Monsanto among many other companies. They own the majority stake in Exxon-Mobil, which is world’s largest publically traded oil company and the world’s largest company by revenue. Exxon holds the record for highest profits by any company ever. They also own JP Morgan Chase which is the largest banking company in America by deposit and market capital, it also runs the largest hedge fund in America.
The Rockefeller family commissioned the first designs for the World Trade Centre. They have also been involved in numerous other real estate deals across America.
In 1973 the Rockefellers produced the Trilateral Commission, It’s was David Rockefeller's vision to create a political think tank between North America, Western Europe, and Japan. Their object much like the CFR was to create a one world government. Politicians like Barry Goldwater believed that the Trilateral Commission was an attempt to create power outside the traditional political system with the goal to overpower governments.
The Rockefellers also established or chaired; Planned Parenthood, Population Council, World Economic Forum, and are heavy involved in The Bilderberg Group.
Quote by David Rockefeller. “We are grateful to the Washington Post, the New York Times, Time Magazine and other great publications whose directors have attended our meetings and respected their promises of discretion for almost 40 years......It would have been impossible for us to develop our plan for the world if we had been subjected to the lights of publicity during those years. But, the world is more sophisticated and prepared to march towards a world government. The supranational sovereignty of an intellectual elite and world bankers is surely preferable to the national auto-determination practiced in past centuries.”
The late Aaron Russo received but declined an offer to join the CFR by Nicholas Rockefeller was told about the plan for 911 by Rockefeller eleven months in advance of the event.
